YARD LEAD—Apply Now!

We’re looking for a Yard Lead to join our Facilities team. This is a full-time position located on site at our salvage yard in NW Portland.

The Yard Lead is the primary person responsible for the day-to-day management of our reclaimed wood lumber yard. This role oversees all aspects of lumber processing, delivery coordination, inventory organization, and yard maintenance, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all activities. The Yard Lead will direct a small team of denailers and crew, providing hands-on guidance, prioritizing safety, and fostering streamlined workflows to meet business goals. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, experienced in reclaimed wood processing, and capable of identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiencies.

 
 

 
 

DENAILER / YARD SUPPORT—Apply Now!

We’re looking for a Denailer to join our Facilities team. This is a full-time position located on site at our salvage yard in NW Portland.

The Denailer will be responsible for efficiently processing reclaimed materials. This includes, but is not limited to, the safe and effective removal of nails and foreign objects, sorting materials to meet specific requirements, and stacking or bundling materials into safe working loads. This role is dynamic, requiring strong spatial awareness and the ability to adapt quickly in a constantly changing environment. Team members must demonstrate flexibility, be capable of working both independently and collaboratively, and possess good problem-solving skills to stay on task without constant supervision. Good customer service and communication abilities are an added advantage, especially during occasional interactions with retail clients through the sales department. By developing foundational skills and gaining experience in our trade and mission, this position offers opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

 
 

 
 

CREW LEAD/DECONSTRUCTIONIST—Apply Now!

Do you make your bed every morning? Are you the person in your friend group who always takes charge? Do you love to solve puzzles and troubleshoot problems? Do you do look for more efficient ways to do the things you do? If so, you have many of the traits we’re looking for in our Crew Leads, and we’d love to meet you.

In addition to being a Deconstructionist, the Crew Lead serves as an onsite supervisor for deconstruction projects. We specialize in residential remodels, wood-framed structural deconstruction and small commercial remodels. Our projects range from 1 day to several weeks with a typical crew of 2-8 deconstructionists. Once assigned to a job, the Lead must quickly assess and comprehend scope and develop a thoughtful plan for efficient workflow. During the project, Leads delegate tasks, work alongside crew, manage job site logistics and communicate progress and changes with clients and office. Finally, Leads close out project scope and logistics. This position is critical to the success of projects by representing the company with pride and setting the industry standard for service.


The ideal candidate for this position has a background in residential remodeling, an eagerness to learn about deconstruction, and has knowledge of materials that are involved with our projects. They also have experience and success in leading crews or teams. They have demonstrable skills in people management including clear and respectful communication that promotes workplace success.

The Lovett Deconstructionist is the heart of the company. This role requires a self-starter, someone who is a hard-working, thoughtful, attentive, service-oriented person who can do everything from the rough, dirty work of demolition to the careful, surgical removal of material such as cabinetry, windows, and salvageable hardwood floors. The deconstructionist uses expert skill and collaboration with team members to protect, salvage, and disassemble all range of structures. Our deconstructionists are team players; they are friendly, safe, and conscientious, creating a work environment that is positive and productive.
